About this Blog
I often Google for product reviews, or try to find the "best" (aka cheapest) deal, or check if a product exists, or look for instructional guides on how to make or fix things. It is surprising to me that the search results is often zero (in this day and age where there are countless product-review Blogs and YouTube instructional videos?).
Maybe it's because the products and issues I searched for, are not really problems for anyone. Or the things I want to make or fix, can be cheaply purchased such that no-one fixes/ repairs it anymore. Or Singapore is too small a market for such products that it is not sold here; I often wondered. So do drop me a comment if a post is useful to you.
About myself
I'm a guy from Singapore. My parents were from "Ama Keng" village in Singapore, I spent some early childhood years there. I half-remembered that as self-sufficient villagers, we grew our own food, made and fix our own things. E.g. zinc roof huts, chicken coops, rainwater concrete catchment "pool", dugged-well, etc.
Now, as a HDB flat dweller, I still like to make and fix my own things (albeit compared to my parents, I can only fix simple things). I also like to save money. Frankly, I myself am unsure of the real reason I'm fixing things - do I really enjoyed it (I loved it when a thing is fixed successfully, hates it when I break it even further during fixing), or it's for the environment, or am I just really a cheapskate that don't like to buy replacements :)
